Nissan, Japan's second largest automaker had overall strong results during March. The automaker achieved a healthy 9.7 percent increase in U.S. market share - the highest single-month growth in the company's history. Even more impressive, Nissan U.S. vehicles sales jumped 27 percent, marking another monthly record.

Among Nissan's award-winning lineup, the Nissan Altima performed particularly well. Comprising 32,289 units of Nissan's 121,141 unit total (a 27-percent jump over last March), the Altima took the title of the "Best-Selling Sedan in America", another company first.
