Bay Ridge Nissan in Brooklyn, NY has a feeling things are going to be looking up for Nissan throughout 2012. How do we know? For one, we've already seen sneak peeks of upcoming new Nissan models such as the NV200 and the redesigned Nissan Pathfinder. Another bit of evidence pointing upward, however, comes in the form of some highly pleasing statistics.
January 2012 sales reports are out and being the Nissan enthusiasts we are, Bay Ridge Nissan managed to get our hands on the goods. Of course, as always, we're more than happy to share. Leading the pack thus far for 2012 is the highly-accommodating Nissan Altima sedan. Thanks to its wide range of options and dependable performance, the Altima saw a 35.9-percent increase in sales to 22,357 units. Next in line are the Nissan Versa and Nissan Rogue, each of which broke their own personal start-of-the-year records with an 8.5- and 5.1-percent increase respectively. Round of applause for these stellar models? We sure think so.
As exciting as these upward-trending numbers are, individual vehicles stats aren't the only ones worthy of praise. Nissan sales in general are marked with a thumbs-up as well. Al Castignetti, Vice President and General Manager, says, "Nissan carried momentum from a strong finish to 2011 into January...2012 is going to be an even better year."1 Specifically, this "better year" started off with a 12.5-percent total increase in sales to 72,517 units.
Not only do these numbers prove that Nissan has started off on solid ground, but they remind us of why it is we're dedicated to providing those in the Brooklyn area with Nissan vehicles and service in the first place.
