Creating innovative electric vehicles that appeal to a wide demographic is key to getting consumers to make the switch to greener mobility. Thankfully, Nissan has that covered with models like the Nissan LEAF. However, it also takes some effort on the part of government. In this area, it seems as though Norway provides a perfect example.

Electric vehicle charging stations can be hard to locate. No secret there. Because the eco-friendly automotive technology is so new, the proper infrastructure to support it is still in the works. But while some automakers try to cover up or ignore the problem, Nissan is dedicated to finding a solution.

Automakers are some of the largest champions of eco-friendly practices. With a wide variety of ever-evolving green technology, mainstream hybrid vehicles have transformed the average driver's role in bettering our environment. But here's the problem: not everyone is an "average" driver. Think about all the commercial vehicle operators and truck drivers who don't use the typical car. Nissan thought about them. And the conscientious automaker decided to open up this sector to a whole new world of low emissions driving with the Nissan e-NV200.

When most consumers think FedEx, they think fast delivery. For the following two months, however, on-line shoppers and package senders in London will also equate the delivering service with green...green driving that is. Nissan has called on the company to help test out a fleet of all-electric Nissan NV200 vans.

Since its inception in 2010, the Nissan LEAF has prompted a substantial volume of chatter. Within its first shining moments in the world, the pioneering mass-market EV earned itself the "2010 Breakthrough Award" from Popular Mechanics magazine. Over the past two years, the LEAF has worked its way into countless conversations, received global recognition and even found itself the topic of several Bay Ridge Nissan blog posts. You'd think, after all that, we'd be sick of talking about it. But that couldn't be farther from the truth.
